About Kyle Davis
Graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science in Meteorology. Also received minors in Mathematics and Broadcast Journalism. I started my career at Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. in Norman, OK (Now owned by DTN). I was the weather producer and I work hand in hand with tornadovideos.net and Reed Timmer from the Discovery Channel show "Storm Chasers." I licensed footage to media outlets shot by the chasers. I also started web development for an interactive weather map (iMap). I did a lot of geocoding and map customization for multiple clients. I then changed my career path and joined Epic Tech LLC and created Redibids.com. It is an auction style site with casino like gaming mixed in. The site launched early 2015 and has been doing very well. As a full time web developer at Epic Tech, I gained immeasurable experience in dynamic websites with large amounts of data being sent instantaneously using web sockets. Many elements of the site relied on accuracy in the microseconds. Next, I spent 3 wonderful years at the Oklahoma Climatological Survey/Oklahoma Mesonet. I built a wide array of sites and tools used in meteorology, emergency management, and fire management. I began my Drupal CMS development at the Mesonet in 2017 by building the U.S.D.A affiliated site https://ars.mesonet.org.I now work for the University of Oklahoma Libraries web team. We create and maintain the OU libraries site as well as numerous websites and tools used by the university libraries. Video editing with: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid media composer. Programing proficiency in: Drupal (7,8,9, and 10), Pantheon platform, HTML, Twig, JS, PHP, Objective C, XML, KML, ArcGIS, CSS, OpenLayers, Web Sockets, composer, npm, git
