I'm a graphic designer and web designer/developer but my career and study path didn't actually start there. I completed my university studies at Eduvos in a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, during which I launched my first business selling automotive parts to repair shops. This venture taught be alot about the sales and financial aspect of business. After a year of running the company, I resigned to explore something different, leaving the company with my business partner. That curiosity led me down a different path. I gained a small interest in how print media is designed and how those visuals are created. I then ventured down the rabit whole where I spent many hours learning about graphic design, the adobe design softwares and eventually into website design. I took what I learnt and subsequently moved into marketing, where I worked as the Marketing Director for Libertalia Group, leading the content and design, brand image and website. My real passion layed in using the design process, playing with the adobe softwares, and building websites.I then went on to do design work for Mwesu Properties under the Mwesu Holdings Group, where I was involved in all the design work, social media content, videography, website and all media efforts.After that, I moved up into the holding company called Mwesu Holdings, where my colleague/friend (now business partner) and I handled all the design work, websites, and marketing for 12 different brands. We were a small team managing big tasks and tight deadlines, and that’s where I really learned how to juggle multiple projects and manage my time effectively. Now, as co-director of M73 Creative, the company I co-founded with that same colleague, my skills have sharpened immensely. We work with businesses on a variety of projects, from website builds to designing digital media such as annual reports, running google ads and so on. This is the area where my strengths lie and feel most passionate — every project is a challenge but I do genuinely enjoy the process from start to finish.We still work closely with Mwesu Holdings and the 12 brands we’ve supported having built extremely strong relationships with the people involved in those brands. This industry always keeps me inspired and excited for what’s next.
