Unity Software Engineer
Current- Contributing to the development of a Unity based multiplayer first-person shooter mobile game, implementing enhancements across all facets, ensuring a refined and optimized product prior to release.- Collaborating with the backend team to establish a connection between the Unity client's in-game systems with that of the server’s via HTTPS.- Resolving numerous bugs within a complex and expansive codebase, addressing issues ranging from UI intricacies to critical networking race conditions.- Optimizing game responsiveness by refactoring inefficient code, significantly reducing memory allocations, and implementing more efficient algorithms to enhance overall performance.- Designing and developing graphical user interfaces for the main menu, matchmaking status, settings menu, weapon customization, post-match summary window, and login screen.- Producing comprehensive design documentation to assist level designers in crafting maps optimized for seamless mobile performance.- Advancing gameplay dynamics via C# scripting, creating lag compensation techniques for networked game objects, improving player movement fluidity, implementing AI bots capable of strategic enemy targeting, and refining first and third-person animations using inverse kinematics, culminating in an immersive gaming experience.- Leveraging Git for comprehensive version control, maintaining multiple development branches, opening issues, submitting pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
