Provided regulatory oversight for all JPL manned/unmanned aircraft science instrument flights ensuring compliance with all governing federal regulations (NASA, FAA, JPL, etc). Refined and developed mature and documented process for acquiring aircraft for utilization by the lab. Developed and integrated metrics data reporting and capturing tool for use by both project and executive lab management. Instituted use of a central document repository for enhanced cross-directorate situational awareness. Enhanced and improved the customer/contractor relationship between the lab and the NASA appointed oversight center. Worked directly with individual task and project managers acting as a central point of contact for project approval, including but not limited to adhering to cybersecurity requirements, hazard identification/mitigation, flight operations requirements and NASA airworthiness approval.

Nasa Armstrong Flight Research Center

As a pilot for Northrop Grumman I was an aircraft commander in the NASA RQ-4 Global Hawk. I ensured the safety of the operation and conducted crew briefings. Additionally, I coordinated all of the airspace requests for the upcoming flights and projects. This included scheduling military range airspace, coordinating FAA COA (Certificate of Authorization) requests, establishing ALTRVs, and developing a new National Security Temporary Flight Restriction in Hawaii to provide greater aircraft support mission assurance. I coordinated and attended meetings with both FAA and DoD representatives and many different facilities to ensure smooth operations and deployments. Additionally, I participated in a flight test regime in which a newly developed circling/short approach path was developed for the Global Hawk platform. This approach path was validated and test flown over the course of several months and is a game changing flight regime for Global Hawk allowing for greater flexibility for operations at mixed use airfields and airfields where terrain is a concern.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

As a NOAA aircraft commander, mission commander, and UAS pilot I provide operational support to the NOAA Corps and its operational missions. My duties include the safe operations of the aircraft in my charge and the collection and interpretation of scientific data for various missions throughout the CONUS, Alaska and Canada. Collateral duties include communicate with our various scientific customers and governmental agencies to carryout successful surveys. This includes charting, pre-mission planning, crew briefs, science crew briefs, scientist coordination, airspace coordination, aircraft scheduling, maintenance scheduling, travel coordination and logistics coordination. My manned flight profiles include low-level (500' AGL) and slow flight surveying (Turbo Commander Aircraft) utilizing a radiation detector. Additional aircraft missions include aerial photography and gravity research. My unmanned flight missions usually consist of deployments from ships to support marine mammal research.

Collateral duties include piloting various NASA aircraft for other NASA manned aircraft missions.
