As Manager, Student Recruitment I am responsible for creating and implementing strategies that attract students from all over the world to MSVU. While managing a team of seven, I have been able to create and implement new strategies that have lead to enrollment growth both domestically and internationally, while also diversifying our student body (now at 78 countries from 60). Some of these strategies have included the creation of a new scholarship program, the development of a new approach to international agents, and a refocus of our domestic efforts. I have done this with the help of an incredible team, while also respecting our departmental budget, ensuring that our team is running as efficiently and effective as possible. In my six years in a leadership position at the Mount, our team has seen modest to significant increases in first-year enrollment (either direct-from-high school, transfer, or both), against expectations of a university our size.

Oversaw the recruitment of Canadian students to the Mount. In this capacity, I oversaw a team of four and created strategies that would help grow the Mount's Canadian undergraduate enrollments. In my first year at the Mount, our team grew direct-from-high school enrollments by 25% year-over-year. For the next two years, we were able to remain relatively even or marginally grow our first-year enrollments in a hyper-competitive market with rapidly shrinking demographics.

Planning and execution of recruitment initiatives in international markets for Acadia University (USA, Caribbean, Mexico & Europe). Coordinator of AARAO activities in the Maritimes for Acadia. Part of team that lead Acadia to some of the highest first-year enrolment increases in Atlantic Canada for four consecutive years.

Manage an executive of 5 individuals and one general manager. Ensure that the goals and mission of the organization are met throughout the year. Was involved in the hiring of 3 full time staff. Ex-officio member of the Acadia University Board of Governors for 2 years. Chief spokesperson for the Acadia Students' Union during a 3 and a half week faculty strike.
