Breathing Media (http://breathing-media.com/) is a Seattle production company dedicated to creating videos worth sharing and short films that impact the viewer long after they're seen. Over the past few years we've produced a variety of projects, including narrative shorts, webisodes, promotional videos for businesses and artists, wedding and event videos, and concert/standup comedy DVDs. I have personally shot, edited, produced, directed, mixed audio, gripped, and gaffed over the last 3 years for Breathing Media. For the majority of our productions I am the Director of Photography as well as the Editor, Cameraman and Producer. Our latest project for the Oregon Country Fair is a good example of my skills as I produced, shot and edited the entire piece. 'Upon Your Shoulders' is a silent narrative set to Eric Whitacre's choral masterpiece, 'Sleep'. https://vimeo.com/54573413 (PW: atlas) Breathing Media just wrapped a 109 episode run of a weekly web series for King of the Web/Creator Republic (www.kingofweb.com/creatorrepublic.com). This co-hosted show gave the audience updates as to what was new and happening on the site, provided commentary on YouTube news and videos, as well as revealed the winner of the site's bi-weekly online competition. Through various iterations this show spanned over two years, reached hundreds of thousands of people, and created an outlet for King of the Web/Creator Republic to showcase their site and competition, connect with their users, and be part of the YouTube community. Some of our other clients include: King of the Web, United States Diving, Seattle University, Payscale, Oregon Country Fair, On The Boards Theatre, Marine Stewardship Council, and the Celtic Arts Foundation.

I have been a freelance Producer/Editor/Director/Videographer for the past 5 years. Most recently I have work for Experience Music Project (EMP) and University of Washington TV (UWTV). During the time I worked for the EMP I edited many of the featured videos for the Icons of Science Fiction, Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket as well as the Hear My Train a Comin': Hendrix Hits London exhibits. Putting together these films for the EMP exhibits was much like constructing a documentary. I collaborated with museum curators to create a fluid and comprehensive story via historical interviews, pictures, voice overs, found footage and more. I was tasked with telling the stories of Marlon Brando and why he is one of the major reasons that the black leather jacket was ultimately loved as a fashion item, to how Jimi Hendrix’s life in London at the beginning of his career was admired by the likes of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and the Beatles. These videos were designed to help aid the exhibits and provide the audience a fun yet educational look at some of the biggest icons in film and music history. While working for UWTV I usually work as a cameraman for the in-house productions at HecEd Arena and Husky Stadium but have also shot for UWTV's original educational TV series “Four Peaks.”

Gametapes is a company that produces high school sports broadcasts for Comcast On-Demand. I started at Gametapes as an intern while I was pursuing my BA at the University of Washington taking over as Senior Producer after graduating. As Senior Producer I was in charge of securing all necessary rights and permissions, scheduling crew, the maintaining and organizing of equipment; production of over 400 events in 2 years, featuring multiple cameras, over seeing crew, announcers, and high school interns, as well as managing and filling orders from Gametape's' online store. Also during my time at Gametapes I shot, directed, and helped produced and edit a half hour high school sports show on FSN and King 5 sports called “The Varsity News.”
