With a focus on industrial buildings within the GTHA, I help my clients save money on their real estate decisions by providing expertise on lease renewals, lease audits, portfolio comparisons, facilities management services valuation and appraisals, acquisitions and dispositions.

I build relationships and liaise with government officials, consulates and various agencies to make them aware of Room to Read Toronto and the various events/functions/fundraisers we are hosting. I build relationships with these officials as well as our volunteers to motivate and empower them to action in support of decreasing illiteracy in the developing world. At events I lead, train/coach and organize teams of 20+ volunteers to sell, inform and interact with guests.

My research focused on economic aid effectiveness and climate change in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. While working here, I contributed to an economic aid and climate change education program for government ministers in Asia as well as assist in editing and ‘adding value’ to various publications. This position required substantial and effective communication (written and oral), time management, as well as meeting strict deadlines and handling multiple projects.

I co-founded ‘become’ which was an organization that sought to empower disenfranchised individuals by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed. We partnered with a Micro Finance Institution (MFI) in Indonesia and developed a Western base of financier’s. Through the business micro-loan students were able to experience and build cross-cultural relationships and learn more about micro-loans, business and global economies. We were also able to form a loose partnership with Global Vision.

Events organized: Child Soldier presentation, Conflict in the Congo with Aubrey Graham, Dance troupe from Kigali, Film documentary ‘War Don Don’ and Q&A with the director, Lunch and presentation with/by Rwandan Minister of Technology and education.

While working for Bonnie Crombie, I corresponded with the office of the Minister of Immigration to obtain Visa’s for constituents. I also attended closed-door meetings with prominent politicians. My responsibilities included liaising with many MP’s, MPP’s, Councilors, as well as notable community representatives and business leaders. While performing these duties, I also planned, organized and marketed the annual constituency BBQ which included: 3,000 people, 10 different cultural performances, 20 community booths, 3 notable press organizations and Mayor Mccallion announcing her re-running for Mayor.

I utilized social media to advertise and promote for the Centre as well as create a database of information on prominent scholars within the fields of transitional justice and human rights which, contributed to the development of the centre and its website. Small budgets and time frames provided experience with guerilla marketing and the successful managing of small teams.
