Hello everyone, my name is Kyle Wehr. I currently work for the County of Northampton in eastern Pennsylvania as a GIS Technician editing the tax map and assisting in the recording of any engineering plans that have to do with altering the land in the County. I am a former student at The Pennsylvania State University where I studied Geography with a focus in Geographic Information Systems for energy and engineering companies. I completed some research where I was tasked to find all of the ground mounted solar plants in Ontario, Canada and track down as many details about the systems as I could. These details have to do with the size of the land the plant is on, the types and specifications of the solar panels, the type and specifications of the inverters being used, and the location of the plants. When finding the location of the plants I was tasked to use Google Earth in order to create a KML file that we can then use in the Arc software for GIS purposes. Other work experience that I have done is working in the restaurant business as a server and special events assistant at the former Blue Ridge Country Club in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.
