About Kyle Yoder
I’m a service-minded policy researcher, people-focused team leader, and fierce advocate for operationalizing good ideas. I've spent my career working alongside state and local officials, nonprofit institutions, and grassroots communities to advance evidence-based policy and people-centered practices. I'm particularly passionate about my work in democratic inclusion, economic opportunity, and building systems that elevate community voices in decision-making structures. In my current role at CEIR, I lead efforts to develop our research team, both as individual professionals and as a cohesive whole. I believe good policy must be rooted in rigorous research conducted by curious people who are given the space and support to continuously learn and grow. My research interests focus on integrating mixed methods for holistic policy analysis, including using community-engaged approaches to elevate ideas from those on the ground. I’m passionate about identifying policies that simultaneously improve administrative efficiency, preserve election integrity, and expand voter access. In prior roles, I’ve worked as an organizer and researcher with various state and local organizations across the country to create impact in several policy areas, including electoral access, affordable housing, community development, disability rights, environmental sustainability, patient wellbeing, and inclusive governance. Before making the jump to public policy, I worked as an educator and theater artist based in New York City. I graduated from Harvard with a Master in Public Policy and a certificate in Management, Leadership, and Decision Sciences, and I hold a BA in Cognitive Science from Yale.Outside of the office, I enjoy telling long stories, taking my dog hiking, and playing overly complicated board games. I strive every day to honor my sister’s memory.
