Kym Hampton began her speaking career in 1997, the start of the WNBA. Over the years, she has inspired and motivated youth, women, men, students, athletes, teachers and more. Her experiences have taken her around the globe and she is passionate about sharing her message of choosing to succeed and more.

The fourth pick of the 1997 inaugural WNBA Elite Draft, to the New York Liberty. Selected as the Eastern Conference starting center of the 1998 WNBA All-star team. Retired in 2000, as the first NY Liberty player to reach 500 rebounds. Prior to the start of the WNBA, Kym Played twelve and a half years in abroad; 6 years in Spain, 4 .5 years in Italy, 1 year in France and also 1 year in Japan. Currently works as a freelance ambassador for the New York Liberty, WNBA, NBA, NBRPA and Garden of Dreams Foundation.
