• Create and maintain a safety committed culture in all departments and operations • Recruiting, hiring, training and supervision of drivers and department staff across multiple locations • Administration of workers compensation, auto, and product liability claims management and return to duty programs. • Strong interaction with operations department to ensure customer and safety commitments are met. • Experienced in conducting facilities audits/inspections (OSHA,EPA,DOT) • Management of PSM and RPM facilities. • Provider of Behavior based training in areas of Hazard Communications, LOTO, Emergency Preparedness, Accident and Injury Prevention, Work Place Violence, Lift Truck certification, Defensive Driving (Smith System), Blood Borne Pathogens, Safety Committee, and Hazardous Materials handling, Spill Mitigation, Storage and Disposal, Fall Protection • Responsibility for all risk management activities, including assessment of insurance programs for cost containment, loss analysis and negotiating with insurance carriers • Maintaining Metrics for loss tracking and trending in process improvement. • Development of formal Safety and Security training programs to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, OSHA, Department of Homeland Security, EPA and USDA. • Oversight of DOT and Drug Free Work place testing programs • Oversight of Hazmat spill response, Accident and Injury reduction / investigation / mitigation / training.• Class A CDL
