I am an undergraduate student at the University of the Virgin Islands, interested in roles in the accounting and finance industry. As an accounting major, I am fascinated by the numbers, financial reports, and analysis of the field. Upon my first exposure to the Enron scandal in high school, I recognized a desire to pursue a career in forensic accounting. Fraud is an ongoing risk that threatens a wide range of organizations across multiple industries and sectors. I am determined to help combat this risk and to encourage transparency and accountability in financial reporting. As such, I have taken accounting courses and functioned as the financial officer/treasurer for various entities to build the necessary skillset that will strategically position me within the accounting field.Outside of work, I am heavily involved in organizations within my school and community. I am a go-getter and rarely decline an opportunity.
