•Created the organizational structure of a diverse collective of 30 core and hundreds of short-term health care workers that served the over 10,000 campers and thousands of individuals who visited the resistance camps in Standing Rock•Developed provider recruitment and vetting procedures, logistical and supply chain systems, funding streams, media presence, and on-site emergency response system•Organized integrative medical response including allopathic medicine, traditional herbalism, mental health services midwifery, bodywork and chiropractic, and street medic responders for mass casualty events•Worked with broad coalitions (UCSF, Nursed United, and Do No Harm Coalition, MHC, etc) to form an integrative medical campus at the encampment•Developed programming for a future long-term free clinic (Mni Wiconi Health Clinic) on the Standing Rock Reservation•Created system of recruitment, coordination, and orientation of mental health and emotional support providers•Organized full Mental Health First Aid trainings for healthcare volunteers and general camp population•Provided Mental Health First Aid to multiple individuals in acute crises and logistical support to providers and patients•Co-created policies and protocols for care for individuals in acute crises and with chronic mental illnesses•Co-raised over $1M in financial donations and ~$50M in-kind donations•Acquired and managed MHC assets including vehicles, warehouse, structures, power infrastructure, and other supplies•Organized and spoke at information sessions at Feinberg Medical School, UIC-Chicago, and Region 5 EPA (Chicago)•Wrote press releases and gave interviews (CNNi, The Intercept, etc) after multiple mass casualty events at Standing Rock•Created and managed emails, web pages, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts with 420K and 62K followers, respectively•Created content for both pages that receive thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of hits
