On a daily basis, I use our department inquiry database to build rapport with prospective students, while assisting them from the inquiry stages to complete enrollment. I administer information sessions, one-on-one counseling, and phone advising in efforts to convert potential candidates to full enrollment. Once admitted, I assist newly admitted students with completing their necessary on-boarding steps before the semester begins.Outside of student admissions, I also assist in planning and executing office events such as tailgates, receptions, team building activities and orientations. Additionally, I am responsible for planning and executing the international study abroad trip for graduate students who go overseas for a 2-week educational experience.To assist in the learning process, I was part of the team that initiated an information hub via the university LMS system to ease the communication gap between current students and program coordinators. Finding ways to better streamline the processes from admissions to graduation is an overall goal of mine that I continuously try to accomplish while in my current position.
