Lacey Smith Email and Phone Number
I am a passionate go-getter who loves to collaborate, have fun and build awesome products. As a Product Manager, working with a development team, I strive for the moments where we can get excited and motivated together to build something truly awesome. This is why I love my job. Listening to customers' passion for the work that they do and what their pain points are gets my wheels turning about what I can do to improve their experience.Solving complex problems that initially seem too big to untangle with a team of innovative people drives me. While these moments can be tough and stressful, if you put the minds of a group of people with diverse skill sets together, the result usually turns out to be pretty great. Some of the skills that I bring to the table are being a fast learner, leader, listener, collaborator, and problem solver. Additionally, I lean on my capabilities in customer service, strategic road mapping, user experience, market research, and data analytics as a unique skillset to bring to my development team. Lastly, I believe my 'secret sauce' is leading and listening with empathy. I believe doing this allows customers to trust me in knowing that I want to help them and do everything I can to understand their pain points and deliver on my commitments. Building these relationships with customers has led to me building successful products.Recently, I have been working on a feature that will allow customers to centralize their process and retire their 3rd party software. I knew that constant feedback from inception to implementation was crucial to this feature’s success. Since this project will go on for multiple iterations, I was transparent with customers about the roadmap. After gathering feedback, I adjusted the roadmap to better align with customers' top priorities. Next, I conducted market research to understand what areas our competitors are lacking so we could provide the best solution possible. After that, I continuously brought designs, mockups and prototypes to customers to gather feedback and adjust as we developed. In the end, customers thanked me for listening and explained how much of an impact this solution would have on their business. While solving complex issues, building cool software and innovating with a team is fulfilling, watching the impact that your software can make on the daily life of the customer is what drives me to be the best product manager I can be.
