I'm currently working with the Northern Beaches Council as a Rock Pools Team Member. My duty is to maintain and clean the rock pools. My job consists of draining the pools, pressure washing the walls and floors, washing out any sand and seaweed, using a chemical spray to delay the growth of algae. I also clean the surrounding area of the pools and do maintenance checks on the chains to make sure everything is secure. I also take on the team leader position when my acting team leader is away, this will mean that I’m responsible for driving the work car, making decisions on cleaning the pool and providing start times for the next day to the team members.
