I am a business leader, mental health advocate, and veteran, driven by a passion for fostering business growth and supporting communities. As the Director of His Boy Elroy, I’ve led the business to achieve Business of the Year 2020 and recognition for Excellence in Digital Service Delivery and Innovation. His Boy Elroy is not only a popular hospitality venue but a community hub known for its welcoming atmosphere and operational excellence.In 2020, I founded Raising the Bar Foundation, a mental health charity designed to strengthen communities we exist in. One initiative, Barstool Brothers offers a safe space for men to connect, share experiences, and access mental health resources. Another initiative, Healthier Hospitality has a mission of building stronger communities by providing education in our hospitality industry. Finally we have Walk with Us Kokoda and partnership with RSL NSW to sponsor veterans to walk the Kokoda track, providing peer support to improve mental health awareness.I serve on the Illawarra Regional Advisory Council for Business Illawarra, helping to shape regional policy in areas like transport, skills development, and clean energy renewal. This role allows me to advocate for local businesses and align regional priorities with economic growth strategies. I’m also Vice President of the City of Wollongong RSL sub-Branch, where I focus on the welfare of veterans, a cause close to my heart due to my military service as a Combat Engineer with deployments to Afghanistan.Previously, I held senior positions with Merlin Entertainments, including Head of Operations for SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, where I oversaw commercial operations and guest experience. These roles have provided me with expertise in strategic leadership, operational efficiency, and large-scale business management.Additionally, I worked with the NSW Small Business Commissioner, as part of the Small Business Reference Group, advocating for policies that support small business growth and sustainability. My career is centered on driving business success, promoting mental health, and supporting the Illawarra region’s economic development.
