This position involved the detailed mechanical design and fabrication of components that are part of larger REDLab projects related to solutions for people with spinal cord injuries and other mobility impairments. Specifically, I worked on the design of the second version of adapted exercise machine called the AAPLEWALK. This involved using SolidWorks, various fabrication tools and machines, and rapid-prototyping techniques.I was also apart of a team that created and led the student collaboration initiative. This initiative served as a platform for summer co-op students from BCIT, UBC, SFU, and ICORD could discuss/collaborate on projects, learn from one another, and was a great place to meet new people and expand our networks. Over the course of the summer, the SCI hosted bi-weekly/alternating project updates meetings and workshops/site visits.

The project focuses on benefiting developing countries with efficient, low-cost solar dehydrator units.I was apart of a team of BCIT engineering students tasked to design these solar dehydrators.
