MissionThe life sciences and healthcare has been my drive! I am a healthcare worker who strives to help patients have a clear understanding of their care, and also help physicians with their daily assessments. RoleI help with the patient-doctor interaction by making the patient feel educated while also feeling a sense of safety during their health exams. This is accomplished by effectively translating my experience into a way that leaves the patient feeling confident that they are aware and in control of their own healthcare. I am a reliable source for physicians who can count on any task being done as efficiently and accurately as possible. I am constantly finding new ways to use my biology background to educate myself on other subsets such as pharmaceuticals, research & development, and instruction. This drive for learning has enabled me to be a well-rounded scientist who can apply the learned assets to other areas of everyday life. AccomplishmentsAs a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc; I have been able to use my ability to master the Spanish language, and teaching methods learned from being a biology tutor, to serve as a Spanish tutor for under-resourced youth in my community. Through this experience, I have been able to improve my student's Spanish grade from an F to an A- for their academic year. This opportunity has also enabled me to serve as a mentor to this student, where we apply lessons that go beyond the classroom. As Director of Fundraising and Social Events, Spanish instruction has been only one role amongst many during my 5 year membership in the prestigious Fraternity. Another life passion I share is my photography business, Second Look Studios. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I used the time to turn my hobby taking stunning photos into a lucrative business. I specialize in high-end portrait and glam photoshoots. I have had the pleasure of working with local activist groups, Greek Letter organizations, other large member non-profit organizations, and established makeup artists in my area. I take pride in learning new photography and editing techniques that separate my work from others'.
