I oversee all aspects of these areas to ensure a high level of maturity, regulatory compliance and licensing, both locally and globally reporting on all of the corporate performance indicators for asset and HSE management. The role includes effectively managing around 60 different contractors to assist in maintenance and compliance of the site. All of the Facilities and HSE projects from concept to completion are managed by my department. As department head I also perform the following hands on positions of site occupational first aider and emergency management director. I also enjoy and regularly train staff on HSE and emergency management procedures and process. As part of a large organization I work with corporate regularly on facilities improvement, safety standards (based on ISO45001) and environment standards (ISO14001 certified). I am also an experienced auditor in Quality Safety & Environment (QSE) and am now a global auditor for Safran Global. The other most significant responsibility of my facilities role is that of security manager, this includes working with Defence protocols to ensure the integrity of their supply chain along with the commercial customers who benefit from our strict security measures and governance. I was responsible for the safe and compliant repair, overhaul and testing of a large range of equipment.I played an active role in the Safety management of the site through membership of the WH&S Committee, conducting of risk assessments (JHAs), hazard reduction and inductions. In addition, I was accountable for the training and assessment of employees in both safety and repair of equipment.
