I was primarily a cadet candidtae although I also ran varsity cross country. Roger's career as a cadet candidate and as a football player there was a tough challenge. This man is tough! I remember seeing Roger get back to the barracks late evenings all sweaty and tired after scrimmages and he would go shower and study to the wee hours. Roger is an inspiration to me. Roger is one of those people you meet once in a lifetime. He is loyal, respectful, and honest to a fault. He cares deeply about people. I enjoyed knowing him during my Army years and consider the memories of our Army years as the some of the best memories of my life. The thing about Roger I admire the most is his can do attitude. But despite this quality of being very competitive and wanting to do things right and well it is his caring and very dedicated loyalty to his peers, friends, and family that make him special. I recently reconnected with Roger via Linkein.com and we had a long series of phone conversations taking trips down memory lane and I am very grateful for that. I have had a tough time reconnecting with my classmates from USMA as I did not graduate I took my honorable discharge from the Army as I was previously an enlisted man. My affilitation with USMA at West Point is to this day my highest honor and it was a pleasure to re-connect with Roger online. I can only give Roger the highest possible marks as a friend, colleague and human being.
