Thesis (Project 1): Evaluation of the immunomodulatory effects of Lactobacillus reuteri metabolites in house dust mite-stimulated T cell responses in vitro.- Advised by Assoc. Prof. Lynette Shek, National University of Singapore.- Identified two L. reuteri-derived metabolites that suppressed dust mite-stimulated Th2 cytokine production, CD4+ T cell activation, and cell proliferation.- Written and obtained approval from NUS Institution Review Board to conduct human biological research according to Human Biomedical Research Act.- Submitted 1 article as first author.- Presented poster at the 18th International Congress of Mucosal Immunology in 2017 and NUHKids Research Week in 2018

Project 2: Efficacy and safety of oral immunotherapy for peanut allergy: a pilot study in Singaporean children.- Advised by Dr. Kuo I-Chun, National University of Singapore.- Compared the level of allergen-specific IgG4 and IgE in plasma of subjects who were undergoing different phases of peanut oral immunotherapy

Project 3: Comparison of microbiota and allergen profile in house dust from homes of allergic and non-allergic subjects- Advised by Dr. Kuo I-Chun, National University of Singapore.- Optimized and established DNA extraction and multiplex protein assays procedures.- Co-wrote CS-IRG grant proposal.- Published 1 article as co-first author.
