With over 30 years of experience as a trauma therapist and as a senior trainer at Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, I have developed a deep expertise and passion for helping people heal from trauma and enhance their well-being. As the president of NYCATT, I lead a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to building a community of trauma therapists and elevating the education, consultation, and advocacy for trauma-informed care in New York. In my clinical work, I combine the use of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented approach that integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and somatic interventions with EMDR and, sometimes, IFS. I have multiple certifications in EMDR, a widely recognized and evidence-based method for treating trauma. I value collaboration, diversity, and innovation, and I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment for my clients, colleagues, and trainees. I am always eager to learn new skills and methods, and to share my knowledge and experience with others.
