  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Information Governance (IG) Department in the Philadelphia office• Work independently to collect, organize, manage, and update records for assigned Practice Groups• Meets deadlines for special projects for attorneys, legal staff, and Firm departments• Communicate policies of the Information Governance (IG) Department to all levels of staff• Identify and compile concise records reports for Firm attorneys and staff• Support Firmwide implementation of the department’s new database systems• Troubleshoots and solves attorney/staff problems related to record requests and retrieval• Provides one-on-one instruction to attorneys and legal staff on best utilization practices of records management systems• Organize records in alphabetical, numerical and/or chronological order• Physically shifts and moves folders, redwells and boxes as needed for retrieval, providing quality records maintenance• Prepares and affixes labels to folders.• Integrates and inter-files records into newly created or already existing folders and redwells• Receives in person, e-mail or telephonic records requests• Retrieves records from shelves or other locations for Firm attorneys and legal staff• Re-shelves returned records in alphabetical, numerical and/or chronological order• Performs monthly audits for maintenance of records inventory by electronic scanning of barcodes or updating database directly• Interacts with firm lawyers, secretaries, administrative staff, and other personnel• Performs all related tasks for off-site storage preparation• Ensures continuity of Information Governance (IG) operations during supervisor absences• Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures• Participates in department meetings• Maintains the strictest confidentiality of client files and legal documents• Performs other related duties as assigned
