The objective of the Insurance Servicing Policy function is to support the home ownership default management programs delivered by Approved Lenders, the default management multiples and real estate functions delivered by field Centres as well as the claims payment function delivered by the Claims Payment Centre. The Servicing Policy Group is responsible for the maintenance and customization of policy, products, services and systems in support Insurance Servicing activities.Specifically, as an Insurance Business Analyst within this group, it is my responsibility to review, design, and undertake amendments to existing operational policies, products, services and systems to support the timely, client-focused and cost-effective delivery of Insurance Servicing activities for the default management home ownership and multiple, claims payment and real estate functions.Additionally, the team of which I am a member provides substantive input to Insurance business plans in support of corporate objectives and participates in the identification, design, development and implementation of new policies, products, service and systems within the Insurance Sector.

As a Senior Policy Officer within CMHC's Assisted Housing Division I help to oversee the delivery of the federal government's social housing programs across the country. I develop reports which present analysis of the financial performance of the social housing portfolio and provide recommendations for the improvement of said performance while also creating efficiencies within CMHC's administration of these programs.I draft correspondence for the Minister's office as well as for senior management at CMHC in response to enquiries from Members of Parliament, the media and the general public. I will also develop briefing materials examining specific issues which may pose challenges to CMHC.Finally, I am the team lead on a number of projects which requires the supervision of colleagues and ensuring that timelines are met and deliverables are provided on time and with the required information.

I work in CMHC's Assisted Housing Division and help to oversee the administration of the federal government's social housing portfolio. I work with housing groups which are in financial difficulty to assist them in getting back to a position of long-term viability.I participate in the management of rent-geared-to-income housing programs which focus on delivering assistance directly to households which are in financial need.I conduct research and provide analysis of a variety of housing-related issues which may arise and which are of interest to CMHC and to the federal government at large.

I worked with First Nation communities across Canada to assist them in accessing private financing for the development of new housing on-reserve.I delivered capacity development funding to First Nation communities by engaging consultants who were subject-matter experts to provide training and develop comprehensive regulatory regimes for use by the First Nation government. This included housing, finance, lands management, human resource management, communications and planning activities.
