I am currently serving on my 4th assignment as a Grand Opening Supervisor opening new Chick-fil-A restaurants.

I served as an Interim Manager at 8 locations all across the country: 5 Op-to-Inc transitions and 3 Inc-to-Op transitions, as well as 2 Post Transition Support assignments.

I provided training and direction for 3 Grand Openings (GOs) and 1 Company Operated Restaurant (COR) during this time, in both Front-of-House and Back-of-House positions.

- Designed, implemented, and tested software features using model-based software development (MBSD).- Programmed and tested transmission controllers for a prototype transmission in test bays and on tractors.- Worked in an Agile and Scrum team environment.- Participated in the team planning process of new products.

Drivetrain Product Engineer at John Deere Product Engineering Center- Daily usage of Creo Parametric for concept creation in tractor design- Communicated and collaborated with a global cross-functional design team- Provided work direction to contract employees- Involved with creating drivetrain test engineer training and requirements training- Facilitated meetings and workshops, and also reviewed drawings.

My team's project was a custom-made cooled prosthetic socket for transtibial amputees who have a problem of heat buildup. One of my teammates was a transtibial amputee who identified the problem and the socket was being created for him, but the design is universal. Our design used small thermoelectric plates to move heat from the inside of the socket to the outside. Small heat sinks with fans were attached to the outer side of the thermoelectric plates to distribute the heat to the ambient environment. In addition, our team created the socket out of a carbon fiber sleeve, using a plaster mold from a previous socket.I designed the 3D-printed battery cases that attached to the leg, designed a way to integrate cooling modules within carbon fiber layers while hiding 95% of the wires, manufactured the test socket and final socket, which included the integrated cooling modules, and I also designed a web page to explain the project and document our progress throughout the year:http://www.calvin.edu/academic/engineering/2015-16-team05/

- Interned in Koblenz, Germany as the only American there.- Worked with engineers on special tests, such as determining spring retraction force after braking, determining the force required to overcome slippage of a piston, and finding the knockback of a brake.- Observed how American companies work internationally and the communication needed for a Tier 1 automotive supplier to prosper; learned how standards differ in Europe and the United States.- Helped design testing methods to confirm brake capabilities.- Supported the manufacturing engineers by contributing to team effort and helped clarify specifications.

- Helped develop innovative designs on the farm including a feed shed system that eliminated two conveyors and one auger, which reduced feed time by 25%.- Assisted in planting, nurturing, and harvesting 1600 acres of crops (corn, soybeans, wheat).- Ran day-to-day operations including construction jobs and feeding 600 cattle morning and night.- Operated large machinery – tractors, skid steers, lifts.- Taught to be efficient in every task, to plan ahead, and to be a problem solver.
