• Led PPLD’s district-wide philanthropic efforts and team, including the supervision of an Individual Giving Coordinator, a part-time Database Administrator, and a contract grant writer • Built PPLD’s culture of philanthropy with PPLD patrons, Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers, PPLD Foundation Board of Directors, corporations, and foundations through annual giving, estate gifts, grants, and sponsorships• Managed and collaborated with PPLD Foundation Board of Directors and board committees (Development, Executive, Finance, Governance, and Investment)• Strategized with PPLD Foundation board members, CEO, and PPLD Leadership Team to build philanthropic plan, including individual giving, grants, estate planning, events, and corporate sponsorships• Created an annual fund campaign and stewardship plan to initiate and deepen relationships with new and existing donors resulting in a 471% increase in individual donors (350 to 2000) and a 112% increase in revenues• Retooled grants program to focus on organizational strategic priorities resulting in a 200% increase in grant awards• Appointed by CEO & Chief Librarian to serve on internal advisory committees - community needs assessment, organizational visioning, mill levy ballot initiative/campaign finance, and urban renewal• Served on PPLD Leadership Team providing strategic, fiduciary, and operational oversight for 440 full and part-time staff• Brokered acquisition of a building and resources to open PPLD’s 16th location (Calhan), effectively receiving a $500,000 in-kind gift of property and cost savings• Leveraged relationship with Comcast to file appeal with the Federal Communications Commission to earn PPLD an exemption for installation of free WIFI LiftZones, making PPLD one of seven library systems nationwide granted the distinction• Represented PPLD at community events and served as ambassador speaking at various organizations, civic groups by promoting PPLD’s mission and vision to the public
