I'm the author of the Sharky Marky and The Big Race(2014), Sharky Marky and the Scavenger Hunt: An Alphabetic Adventure(2015), and Sharky Marky and the Supermarket Dash(2016 release date). Early in my career I went on to executive produce two feature films: King Cobra (1999) and Pinata Survival Island(2002). After my brief stint in LA, I decided to move back to New Orleans and pursue a career in the arts. I resumed a writing career while at the same time taking classes in video-editing and graphic design. It was there I became best friends with one of my instructors, Thomas Perry. Upon graduation we went into business together and started our own graphic design company.Here is where it gets interesting. :)I was driving by myself across the Causeway bridge one morning, and let's just say I had seen better days in my life at that particular time. Things really weren't going very well at all. Well, while driving across the bridge I found myself passing cars, singing a rhyme, and daydreaming about a shark named "Sharky Marky." I Also found myself counting each car that I passed and cheering the entire time. Twenty-five minutes later(time it takes to cross the causeway) I had the entire book written in my head. I rushed to the office and wrote it down and called Tom and told him about it. Tom became the illustrator of the Sharky Marky book series.This is how Sharky Marky was born.
