I am a seasoned and driven Cyber Security Specialist with over 20 years of expertise in directing top-notch information security operations within the U.S. Army and heightening security measures across multiple classified networks. IT Security Project Management: Throughout my career, I have fine-tuned the capabilities to work in a variety of agile environments and manage multi-million dollar IT systems to ensure successful network integrations while optimizing the cybersecurity measures in place. For example, as the Deputy Project Manager for the US Army, I oversaw and executed the successful integration of a brand-new $156M system that ultimately allowed secure network access to over 25,000 users. In addition, I consistently collaborate with outside vendors to ensure that the network security of all data and infrastructure is heavily regulated and stays within the best business practices guidelines. Risk Mitigation: I have become an expert at conducting extensive, scenario-based IT penetration evaluations to test the security boundaries of classified networks and identify potential holes in the security walls that could easily go unnoticed. I pride myself on being able to design and implement effective security improvement tactics based on my findings and heightening the overall network security to mitigate the cyber risk from reoccurring. Leadership: I am a dynamic leader with the capability to build strong, robust teams and cultivate key relationships with all levels of an organization in order to align resources and achieve set IT goals. Additionally, I earned my MBA from Columbia Southern University and obtained my PMP certification in an effort to further fine-tune the skills deemed necessary to be successful in the field.
