Architected and built a financial card creation web application including cross browser communication capability that allows managers to instantly approve actions happening remotely.Led performance testing efforts that helped drive the successful integration of multiple technologically and geographically disparate development teams. This included the creation of a suite of performance tools and applications to configure the product for large scale deployments, to simulate thousands of customers using the product at once, and to report detailed telemetry on product health.Led the security hardening of our product. Researched and implemented many security algorithms to block hacks listed in OWASP’s “Top 10 Most Critical Web Application Security Risks.” This included implementing a salting algorithm on user password hashes to prevent rainbow table attacks and creating penetration tests that verify the software blocks cross side scripting attacks and SQL injection attacks.Took ownership of an integration kit provided to customers to integrate their own software directly into our product APIs. This involved leading training sessions on the integration kit, bug fixes/additions to the kit and our product APIs, and support for customers actively using the kit. My involvement helped sell and successfully integrate customers such as TD Bank, PNC Bank, and Tianjin China social security cards.Created ETL application to load flat data from cruise ship payroll files and enable bulk printing of paycheck bank cards. This allowed our product to help meet maritime employment regulations for customers.

Lead architect and developer for statewide K-12 online reporting solution for the 1 million K-12 students of Indiana.Supervised development teams in multiple development efforts.Architecture and development support for statewide K-12 online reporting solutions for Wisconsin and Tennessee.Architected and assumed the role of lead developer for multiple report packs that extend the types of data our primary reporting application can use. For this project I helped design and build a Microsoft Analysis Services database that speeds up the calculations and reporting of aggregate data.Architected and developed a module that is used across all of our reporting web applications that dynamically prints any report to a pdf. This is done by scraping the html that is being displayed, formatting it, converting it to pdf, and displaying it to the user.Architected and developed a graphing module that is used across all of our reporting web applications that greatly simplifies and unifies the graphing process.Designed and developed a desktop application that does three things to help with the data load process. It allows implementers to check the integrity of raw data files and their matching templates before they are inserted. It helps implementers match students in the raw data files to students in the database if identifiers are missing. After the data insertion it verifies that all data was inserted properly and has all linkages that are necessary. Designed and developed a service that is used to bulk insert users into our system automatically. There is also a UI wrapper for customers that want to bulk insert users manually from different sources (excel files or sql databases).Maintained product line (web interface, reporting engine, database, data loading engine) by fixing bugs and adding updates needed by the customers.Helped the sales force for 2 weeks by doing cold calls to make new customer contacts.
