I was responsible for representing the University on Open Days, College Visits and any other events I was required for. Duties included showing the potential students around the University and informing them where they need to be. For this job role, I had to be safety aware as it was my responsibility to aid senior staff in showing students and their parents what to do in the event of a fire. I was also a course ambassador, therefore I was responsible for explaining and persuading students to join the course, if I thought it was the right course for them.

Working in Sony’s Corporate Planning & Control division, I was responsible for providing super user training and support to all end users across Europe for SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and BEx Analyzer. I also had responsibility for the input and control of Actual and Forecast Exchange Rates to be used across the business. I would also conduct regular analysis of CPFR data to identify and resolve any issues before distributing to different departments. In addition to these regular tasks and having seen a gap in the data provided to business users, I took it upon myself to design and implement 4 dashboards using Qlikview for various parts of the business (Social and Online Media team & HR). This provided easy access to critical business data instantly. Having never used this system before, my ability to quickly understand and work with the system allowed me to add real value to Sony’s business processes through my actions.

I was responsible for the operation of the Flagship store, ensuring floats are correctly entered into the computer system ready for store trading. Cashing up and banking at the end of the day, ensure there is no money ‘floating’ around in the back of house system, which could mean a cash loss for the company. I was also responsible for the investigation and communication of any till discrepancies, looking at transactions on the system to check for any errors or mistakes on behalf of the sales assistants. Also dealing with any phone enquiries from the shop floor or members of staff and ensuring all personnel files have all the required data, whilst keeping it all confidential.

I was responsible with the day-to-day operation of the office. To provide management with information in order to ensure all cash procedures have been done to company standard to contribute to store profits and loss targets. To carry out general administration using the company Information Systems. Also to complete cashing up and banking to standard, reporting any discrepancies on the system, ready to be investigated. I was also responsible completing basic payroll and personnel tasks and be willing to help and support other colleagues with activities outside my job role when required.
