I am an experienced programme manager and ex-headteacher with diverse transferrable skills.A driven leader with extensive expertise in fostering school improvement and advancing teacher professional development in schools serving communities with significant socio-economic disadvantage.My experience in schools has demonstrated transformational leadership in the primary sector, particularly in communities facing challenges. There I have developed leaders to have capacity to affect change, as well as coaching and supporting teachers to engage with research informed strategies to reach their full potential. My educational passions in my years in schools included science, maths and speech and language development. I plan effectively for strategic programme and project implementation, maximising collaborative relationships to their fullest potential and using a strengths and values based approach within an organisation in order to secure impact. Since leaving my headteacher role I have reinforced my strategic and leadership abilities within the public sector, gaining an in depth understanding of the interface between public and third sector funding and the vital role our voluntary and third sector organisations play in our communities. Responsible for a multi-million pound finding stream I ensure equitable and impactful delivery of programmes in the health and social care arena.
