I help busy women refresh their styles, their lives, and themselves. My husband and I are both career public school educators who live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together we are raising two boys, the younger of whom is non-verbal autistic. As an autism mom and career educator, I am always pressed for time and looking for ways to do and be my best. My blog, Refresh, provides style tips, recipes and life hacks for busy women - particularly those who parent, educate or care for special needs children. We love to travel, but autism has slowed our travels. Instead, I try to “travel” as much as possible through cooking, reading, and Netflix. We have also worked to fit a new brand of travel into our lives as well.All of this has influenced why I fell in love with Color Street and love sharing it with others. I don’t have time to spend an hour in a salon, but I LOVE having nice nails. It’s a few minutes a week of #selfcare that lets me have a manicure that brightens my day the rest of the week. Our family of four has been working through the puzzle of autism for almost ten years. We wanted a place to celebrate our successes, enjoy family time, and create memories. Travel is always challenging, but it is manageable when you know you have a suitable place to stay when you arrive. For us, we intend for the Piece of Mind Retreat to be that place. We hope it might be for your family as well.
