In my dual roles at ADL, I am responsible for spearheading high impact partnerships across industries, supervising growth and outreach strategies for education initiatives, streamlining regional educational operations and communications, and budget management. I also serve as a content expert, regularly presenting at national conferences and events on topics such as hate trends, free speech, and crisis readiness and response planning. As Associate Director for ADL's National College and University Programs, my responsibilities include• Building strategy to launch and expand campus initiatives• Developing and managing budget and data for national campus pilots• Leading national advisory council • Advising campus leadership on incident response• Creating tools to measure outcomes and effectiveness of campus curricula• Partnering with ADL’s Center on Extremism, Civil Rights, and Teaching & Learning teams to design digital and in-person training modules• Training and supporting teams across ADL to market and deliver new campus programming.As Education Director of ADL Midwest, I• Lead, manage and market ADL Midwest’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute anti-bias training for K-12 schools, corporations, municipal agencies, and communities across 9 states • Advise elected officials and professional associations on national hate trends, antisemitic incidents, and education legislation• Hire, train, and supervise a diverse multi-generational 40-person cadre of facilitators• Serve as keynote speaker on such topics as voting rights and extremism & youth radicalization• Develop regional portfolios to increase partnerships with under-resourced communities, institute new education initiatives, expand fee-for-service programs, and broaden client base. I have also served as ADL's Midwest/Mid-Atlantic Division Education Director, an interim role created to strengthen relationships and communication between regional education teams and national senior leadership.

MEET was developed to help Evanstonians more effectively respond to racial injustice and discrimination, and raise awareness of racial justice issues in both Evanston and beyond. MEET staff provide racial equity training and assessments for community organizations of all sizes, and are experts in community partnership development.

As a consultant, I apply my expertise in leadership and curriculum development, evaluation, and community facilitation to help K-12 schools, colleges and universities, faith-based groups, and non-profit organizations assess their equity initiatives, develop more effective DEI and anti-bias programming, and improve community outreach and relationships. I believe strongly in integrating inclusion and response initiatives and in designing curricula and processes that can engage multiple teams and constituents. I have* Provided strategic planning for the YWCA-USA's annual Stand Against Racism campaign, increasing participation of restorative justice professionals and local schools. * Conducted policy research for P-fac (Part-time Faculty Union), Columbia College, Chicago. * Developed multi-year programs for teachers, students, families, and administrators on topics such as bullying prevention and building connections in politically charged environments. * Served as liaison to Spanish-language translation teams, and between school administrators and parents.* Developed marketing plans for education-related events, including district-wide social media campaigns. In Evanston, workshops and lectures were attended by over 600 community members, providing crucial support for anti-bias and social-emotional learning initiatives in Evanston schools.

As a restorative justice facilitator, I -- Conducted restorative justice circles with public school children in racially and economically diverse schools and for Evanston Police Department Youth Services court diversion proceedings. -- Trained elementary school teachers to implement their own circles, providing mentoring in restorative justice principles and conflict resolution practices.-- Designed curricula for circles and coached teachers on strengthening students' participation in circle discussions.

Visiting faculty in Northwestern University's College Preparation program, an initiative designed to provide high school juniors across the country with the opportunity to take college-level classes. My course, "Racism, Civil Rights, and the History of Social Justice Organizing" gave students an historical framework for thinking about social justice organizing today. For over 13 years I taught university undergraduate and graduate courses on topics such as race and literature, immigration in the age of multiculturalism, antisemitism, and fascism and neofascism. My aim was to teach students to write clearly, develop solid research skills, work collaboratively with one another, and consider more carefully the histories of American and British racism and social justice movements. In addition to my classroom teaching, I-- Supervised Ph.D., Masters, and honors students on dissertations and theses. Advised students on course selection, exams, educational goals, and academic and non-academic job markets;-- Led and designed professional development workshops for graduate teachinginstructors, conducting in-class observations and weekly meetings on curriculum design, collaborative learning, peer leadership, multicultural and anti-bias education, and teacher and student assessments. -- Presented 50+ papers & lectures at professional meetings and public venues;-- Reviewed, edited, and copyedited books and articles for publishers, academic and popular journals, and professional newsletters; -- Wrote and received grants from government, university, and private sources to conductarchival research in the United States, England, and Italy;-- organized and fundraised for conferences and public events, building bridges between the university, community groups, and the public-- Served on executive boards and committees for professional and university-relatedprograms and associations, including the University of Iowa's General Education in Literature Program, Ph.D. Admissions Committees, Undergraduate Steering Committee, and Faculty Hiring Committees.
