As part of HuskyADAPT, I use engineering skills to adapt commercial battery-powered toys to make them accessible to individuals with disabilities. I am training to be a lead toy adapter to help lead the toy adaptation events. I evaluate the main function of the toy, take apart the toy, solder a new connection to an acessible user interface, and put thetoy back together. These toys are donated to families who require more accessible toys.

Additionally I worked on improving the training process for new members in order to create a better experience for them on the team and increase team capabilities for future years. I focused on involving new members who did not have as much experience by creating projects relevant to our team and teaching new members the concepts they would need in the engineering side of the team.During my time in this positon, our team won Regional Finalists and the Impact Award.

As a Big Sibling in our team's equity program, I brought diversity to STEM by building a welcoming and inclusive environment for underrepresented identities in STEM. I used my experiences as a woman in STEM on the team to encourage other women and non-binary students to join and focused on creating a team community that was accepting and diverse.

I led a subteam to design, prototype, and manufacture the launching mechanism for the completion robot. I collaborated with the other engineering leads in my subteam to incorporate electrical and software constraints in my design. I managed a team of returning and new members to go through the research and design process, improve the design through prototyping, and integrate the final mechanism on the entire robot.During my time on the team in this position, our team won the Engineering Inspiration Award, and I was selected as FRC Dean's List Semi-Finalist.

I founded a STEM equity program within the Monta Vista Robotics Team alongside 3 other team members. Our program brought STEM equity in our community by teaching various STEM classes to middle schoolers in less-funded communities. Our program consisted of online classes and engaging labs, and our team provided lab material for each student to participate. I organized members and trained them to be tutors, organized lab logistics and materials, and communicated with schools to set up the program with students.
