Lara deeply felt the real need for change regarding late-identified autism after her and her daughter's autism were discovered when the two were 15 and 47 years old, respectively.Diagnosed/identified as autistic in 2019 near the end of a successful 28-year career in independent education where I served as both teacher and administrator, I am an autism specialist (officially certified IBCCES in 09/22 and taking my research, education, experience, and expertise far further since then). I take the best of this evidence-based program, tailored separately to both adolescents and young adults, and further customize it to each young person. Sessions are based on each person's interest level and motivation for improving conversational skills and implementing "tricks and tips," as I call them, for social skills into their lives. In these ways, I support and empower young autistic individuals to live fulfilling lives with less stress and trauma and increased personal acceptance.
