With over 30 years of experience in government relations, strategy, and advocacy, I am currently a Federal Program Officer at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the federal agency responsible for expanding broadband access, innovation, and digital inclusion across the country. I leverage my policy expertise and external relationships to work with federal, state, and local partners to identify and address the needs and challenges of underserved communities and promote the economic and social benefits of connectivity.Before joining NTIA in 2023, I was the Senior Managing Director of Government Relations at TIAA, a Fortune 100 financial services company, where I built and led a high-performing global advocacy team that effectively represented the interests of the company and its 15,000 institutional clients. I created the Global Government Relations Council, a cross-functional platform that fostered collaboration and alignment among senior leaders on key policy issues and opportunities. I also partnered with the Head of Responsible Investing at Nuveen, TIAA's asset manager, to establish a cross-functional SWAT team that developed and executed innovative strategies to advance the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. Throughout my tenure, I skillfully managed several crises, such as the 2008-2009 financial meltdown and the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring that our executive team was front and center in helping policymakers find the best possible solutions for the nation and the company.I am an inclusive leader who sees the entire field, thinks strategically, and empowers my direct reports to achieve at the outer boundaries of their potential.
