Northwest Administrators is a trust company that administers the retirement plans for the Western Conference of Teamsters serving 14 western states. Responsibilities include server administration and maintenance, Office 365 administration, backup and disaster recovery implantation and maintenance and user account and group policy implementation. Out ticketing system is rigidly followed using Manage Service Desk because strict adherence to HIPAA regulations because of medial responsibilities and privacy are a priority in this position. I assist in support over 700+ employees in 8 locations serving 11 western states.

Provide systems support, documentation and infrastructure expertise to assist with the vast customer base of Carus products.Responsible for the maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting our clients SaaS environment and customer events including the management of Windows and Linux Systems, Networks, Servers and Firewall infrastructure.Addition responsibilities for Systems and Network performance with an emphasis on customer support and troubleshooting. The Support Engineer will supply Tier I - III level support, backup and recovery services, updates, systems and network monitoring, and software and hardware implementations.

Manage and administer Windows servers, working with distributed technical support team across multiple offices.I Developed, tested and implemented Group Policy Objects for both internal and DMZ Windows Server 2003 and 2008 Servers.I installed, configured and tested SolarWinds Orion to meet the requirements for the NIST 800-53 AU family of controls (Audit generation, collection, analysis).I worked with OR&R IT staff to improve and expand the use of virtualization, with emphasis on Hyper-V Cluster technology. The goal was to migrate all existing servers/applications on out-of-warranty hardware to virtual machines, and develop a robust backup strategy for virtual machines.Training OR&R technical support staff as required on software and systems listed above.Linux Server Admin Duties:Duities included making system security plans conform to higher-level mandates and industry standards; e.g., that maintain a balance between security needs and productivity needs (NIST, CIS).
