Larry's experience in child welfare has extended over many years and positions. Larry started as a LPN at TN's MTHI, Child and Youth Unit as he earned his B.S. After earning his M.S. in Counseling he continued to work with children and families as a clinical therapist in several mental health centers. For many years Larry has continued to serve children and youth but in a management role. As many professionals, he not only managed teams of mental health professionals but also developed day treatment programs, residential care facilities/programs and CQI systems. Larry is rectnly retired from the Tennessee Department of Children Services where he worked with private providers in a contract monitoring/QA capacity.
