Safeco Field

Hired as Head cashier for the highest-traffic of 6 vending carts, at SafeCo Field, the ballpark for the Seattle Mariner's baseball team. Two months into the season promoted to this current position. Responsible for all aspects of Rita's @ The Mariner's business operations: From staff and scheduling , to product production and re-ordering of inventory. I also work regularly with management and staff from SafeCo Field's prime food & beverage vendor as well as Mariner's ballpark representatives themselves. 2017 was the initial season for Rita's Italian Ice at SafeCo Field and we did quite well "breaking-the-ice" (pun intended) as a new vendor.

Please note: This was my last Drupal engagement and I am no longer interested in Drupal Development work in any form. Working with Logic20/20's internal team, design and build large WA State government websites as part of an upgrade using Drupal 7. The first project (completed) was late January and most of February this year. Logic20/20 called me back for a second engagement when they won another WA State Drupal contract which began in mid-May and concluded the end of June.

Founder/Principal: 13 year IT services company that initially provided IT support and managed web hosting solutions to small businesses. Primary business focus ultimately shifted to offering bulk hosting Developers with a portfolio of websites, and building owner-maintained Drupal 7 websites. Ran on my own equipment (servers) that I spec'd and built, and rented rack-space at a first class data center in Seattle. In recent years I partnered with adTumbler, Inc. One such collaboration is together is we built, host, maintain and offer frequent updates of the Drupal version of the AvaTax connector. In general, SPS&C clients were an eclectic range of professionals and entrepreneurs in a wide range of commercial endeavors, including; legal & health care, restaurant, retail, hospitality, boating & marine fields. Often they came to me in need of unusual or highly personalized solutions to whatever issues they were confronting. Contract Drupal Developer, Washington State University Mainlab, Bioinformatics. Updated Drupal 6 based websites to Drupal 7. Many sites include the development custom Drupal modules and all have a custom built sub_theme based on Bootstrap3 / Responsive designs. Included the selection of replacement of outdated Drupal 6 module projects. The websites provide scientific data, publications, and specific-task-based open source tools built to researchers around the globe. WSU Mainlab also hosts related Drupal based websites for other Universities across the US. The nature of the research being conducted is to improve important food crops through selective breeding. A variety of desired traits are "tagged" through the use of genetic markers. Then genetic samples are taken from the resulting cultivars to determine which plants have produced the superior new root stock. Research data includes traits such as drought tolerance and survival under the increasing challenges of global climate change.

Contracted working full-time to design, build and train the in-house team on a new Drupal 7 website project. Working with a very small (>12) private company, hired to design and generally guide them through build of an entirely new Drupal 7 version of their existing 10 year old, Healthcare related, HTML/CSS website. This project leveraged Drupal 7 in a non-traditional Microsoft sever based 8-node cluster as the production environment. At the time the previous version of the website was replaced, it was receiving 500K visitors per month. A number of design and maintenance improvements was part of the overall development process, adding a consulting element to the project. In addition responsible for training internal staff with varying skill levels how to maintain their respective areas of responsibility on the new Drupal website.

IT Systems Administrator. Ensured optimal day-to-day IT operations, managing all technology with complete oversight of the IT department as a self-directed one-person IT shop. Supported and maintained all computer desktop systems and core applications for up to 60 end users. A multi-faceted environment, which included a mix of Windows XP and Vista workstations, coupled with OpenBSD Firewalls and SAMBA Fileservers and Servers running Windows Server 2003/2008. Administered systems onsite and via remote access. Kept hardware running in top condition. Purchased new equipment with an eye for cost savings. Performed backup and recovery, facilitated new software systems deployment, and conducted end user training for diverse applications and support of construction industry specific software.Selected Accomplishments:* Built or re-built the entire information technology infrastructure, including the design, build, and upkeep of all desktop PC's, firewalls, networks, database servers and phone systems.* Delivered new Intranet and external websites.* Delivered pair of high-performance OpenBSD firewalls running on SUN hardware, monitoring employee web traffic and reported abuse to superiors.* Delivered expertise to the corporate office and geographically dispersed employees via aggressive proactive support.* Formed mutually beneficial relationships with outside vendors and contractors, securing productive service level agreements through negotiations.* Played a pivotal role in IT budget development and maximized the use of available resources.

UNIX Systems Administrator: Startup phase employee #39. Contributed to technical administration of UNIX and Linux-based systems, with oversight of all production, development, and testing in extreme rapidly-growing environments. Facilitated problem resolution by delivering 24x7 on-call support. Adopted and implemented new technologies for upgrades. Fine-tuned, reconfigured, and found new purposes for aging equipment. Leveraged technical expertise to uncover solutions to hardware or software problems. Facilitated the management and security of user accounts. Ensured the optimal performance and configuration of 12 Sun Enterprise Class Servers, more than 80 customized RedHat Linux servers, 120 MS Windows and Apple Mac based workstations, multiple large disk arrays, and two ADIC Scalar 1000 robotic tape libraries. Kept track of all system logs. Automated reporting, paging, and system monitoring via shell scripting and debugging. Monitored systems performance and security. Selected Accomplishments:* Key team member in designing and building IT infrastructure during relocation and expansion of company office space.* Created data security company-wide and executed backups for all database servers. Database valued at $120 million. * Standardized and created the first set of data protection policies, which was expanded over time. * Conceived a comprehensive backup strategy and gained buy-in among senior decision-makers for implementation. * Established an enterprise-level phone system, from design to final implementation.

Linux Systems Consultant. Design, build and configure RedHat Linux for clients. Screen perspective contractors for technical qualifications.Contracted to Boeing Company. ISPI project, (Integrated Systems, Processes, Infrastructure) Create, edit, and verify P+ documentation. Coordinated testing to validate processes and procedures as designed. Automated Failover / Failback assistant project manager.

System Administrator & Field Tech: Rollout phase AT&T Wireless’s AutoPACE deployment to central US region. Coordinate the delivery of the program, from initial implementation to production. Included travel to Midwest to install, configure and test field notebooks while providing a bare minimum of down time to busy RF engineers. Tech. Writer: Extensive edit and customization of existing documentation supporting client’s CellCAD project. Highlights include: test and debugging shell scripts then documenting the scripts’ use and function.

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair wide range of desktop PCs, notebooks, servers and printers, in wide range of settings from private homes to large corporations. Includes: OEM warranty work, contracts, and billable time-and-materials.Specifically utilized to placate difficult, initially dissatisfied service customers. Maintained one of branch’s highest workloads / production output of 16 field technicians. Received an overall rating of OUTSTANDING from the branch service manager (6/96).
