I'm a director who loves to collaborate. On many recent projects, I've been able to help develop the concepts and design the execution. These projects range from 35mm to small format HD acquisition, from commercials to branded entertainment to digital content. This is a truly exciting evolution in our business, and one that lets directors get back to being creative film makers, rather than highly paid ringmasters. I think most directors prefer to collaborate on this level. I've been a DGA director since 1990, working on spots and films both nationally and in my home state of Michigan. I've been represented by a number of production companies over the years including Story, Crossroads, Partners, Maxx, as well as Avalon Films.I specialize in humor, dialogue, real people and performance, as well as automotive as a natural extension of making my home in the Detroit area. I've worked with many celebrities over the years including Leslie Neilsen, Derek Jeter, Spike Lee, Richard Petty, Toby Keith, and Cal Ripken.I've won pretty much every advertising award in North America, including many you've never heard of.I'm also an adjunct professor at College for Creative Studies in Detroit.My goals are to continue to grow as a film maker, and to continue working with talented folks in new and old ways.Specialties: Performance oriented spots, films and documentaries.
