My IP law practice has included drafting patents for Fortune 100 companies, top research universities, and individual inventors. I have particular experience with patents relating to machine learning, techniques for utilizing user data in a privacy-aware manner, wireless communication systems, and electromechanical devices. I have regularly advised tech companies on IP matters, including in the context of corporate acquisitions and other changes to their business. Examples: analyzing competitors' IP holdings and advising clients on how to avoid infringing that IP when acquiring a company or bringing new products to market; advising on proper use of non-disclosure agreements; and advising clients on the scope of IP protection they should pursue based on their business objectives.I am licensed to practice law in New York and Illinois, and am a registered patent attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
