In particular one customer required an application that allowed 'live-system' replacement of legacy switch fabric without loss of service. I lead a design and implementation effort that satisfies this requirement, and may lead to a patent for the process. Another recent effort required the rapid development of a pre-subscription service. This customer has a very tight schedule and limited experience developing applications to meet the high availability requirements of the industry. I directly assisted this customer in designing, developing and integrating an application that required both circuit and transaction control to meet their product needs. A third example is the recent development for a South American cellular operator of a prepaid application that supports deployment using either circuit or transaction control as the protocol initiator. I was responsible for the building of the customer support and test team in Dallas, following major restructuring of the Dallas business unit. The responsibilities include providing critical analysis to management on product development, technology improvements and other technical and administrative issues associated with the customer support team. I was also called on to provide field and local support the pre-sales and sustaining development to the product line from defect analysis, and application development guidance to our customers.
