Principle advisor to the command surgeon on training, staffing, and utilization issues for 6,500 enlisted personnel in 17 specialties assigned to 13 geographically separated medical treatment facilities and the Department of Defense’s Joint Medical Education Training Center. Serves as the the Air Education and Training command’s senior enlisted representative to Headquarters Air Force for the development of policies affecting the Air Force medical enlisted force. Works closely with Air Force Medical Service Executive Leaders to ensure trained and qualified medical technicians are available to meet all Air Force medical needs worldwide. Led Operations at the Air Forces’ Largest Medical Center with an annual budget of $119 million dollars processing and 2600 personnel serving 100 thousand beneficiaries.. Key advisor to the Medical Center CEO on all matters affecting 1000 non-credentialed personnel. Executive Council member; participated in strategic planning, budget formation, business plan execution for garrison operations, wartime readiness and homeland defense missions. Directed training program for 1000 military medical technicians ensuring all nationally established competency requirements were met. Advised executive committee on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes. Performed difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, recommending employee dismissal, and administering disciplinary procedures. Planned and conducted new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives. Identified staff vacancies and recruited, interviewed and selected applicants. Advised managers on employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations. Advised executive committee on the planning, organizing, and coordination of personnel, training, and labor relations activities for the organization. Represented the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Administered compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
