About Lars Eggen
Baritone Lars Eggen (b. 1984) from the small village of Tylldalen currently living in Trondheim. He has a master´s degree from Institute for music at the N.T.N.U in Trondheim. He also studied at the Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia and as a private student at the Hochschule für Musik in Köln.He has worked for several Norwegian district operas for example The Opera in Kristiansund, Steinvikholm Music Theatre, Opera Nordfjord, TSO Drama and Opera Omnia. He has also attended several international festivals like Yo! Opera Festival in Utrecht and Olavsfestdagene in Trondheim. He was one of the price winners at the International voice competition Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in 2011. Eggen has also been involved in a variety of unusual rolls, latest amongst which was a production of 3x3, a musical drama for children, by Glenn-Erik Haugland, which has toured both Norway and Europe. Alongside with his wife (pianist and composer) Eva Holm Foosnæs they have produced several chamber operas like Snap - Shots (monodrama for one singer and a piano) and Gydjekniven for two singers and an one actor. They also produce the mountain opera experience Opera Di Setra.
