The implementation of a broad customer governance structure has enabled me to work closely with CxO’s and primarily with the IT Operations executive team. • A main accomplishment was leading a highly complex and competitive sales campaign establishing HP as a strategic partner to Evry through a 50 MUSD contract for IT Service Management solutions and services. This left HP as a core IT-partner in assisting Evry on their IT transformation journey.

• Responsible for all project- and consultancy sales to HP customers in the public sector. • Complex solution sales focusing on large scale projects to defined focus customers in the areas of IT infrastructure and IT Service Management and Change Management.• The role involved identification, qualification and management of sales opportunities through complex public purchasing processes at multiple levels within the customer organisations.

• Sales and development of IT services to top tier HP business customers in Norway, reporting directly to the Services Sales Director.• Responsible for building and executing account strategies for selling services into large Norwegian customers. Services include outsourcing, consulting, network and mobility as well as support and maintenance of IT infrastructure.• The role brought me in contact with a variety of customers including telecoms, oil&gas, bank&finance, SMB and public sector.

• Sole responsibility for two British customers, Global Crossing and Thales Translink, reporting directly to the Business Unit Director.• Responsible for leading multi functional teams to exceed customer expectations and order intake. Main focus on solution sales of telecom equipment such as SDH/DWDM transport, IP and access products in addition to extensive support and services. Responsible for building account strategies and competitive bids in addition to tactical execution of large customer projects.• Sales of transmission products to Global Crossing’s British transport network in addition to building relations to Global Crossing in the US and Europe.• Sales of SDH and access products to Thales Translink, party to the consortium upgrading the London Underground communications network.

• Customer centric role in a matrix system, reporting directly to the Account Director.• Marketing responsibility for three customers, two British and one American, in a high pace telecom market. Main responsibility to manage long term sales opportunities and position Marconi networking solutions towards telecom operators building European networks.• The role meant comprehensive customer contact and effective communications with resources from technical support to director level both internally and externally.

• My first role at Marconi was a four-month internship with Energis, the London based telecom operator.• Main responsibility for demographic analysis of the UK in terms of existing Energis customers and potential areas for future revenue generating activities. From this material, working with three colleagues, I produced a plan for introduction of new technology and improved sales activities.

• Six months internship with the department responsible for UK customers other than BT, reporting to the UK Sales Director. Primary responsibility to help Alcatel understand the Access Networks needs of operators.• The Access Strategy project provided the background for my MSc dissertation: “An Investigation into the Strategy Process, Case Study: the Telecom Business”
