I am an accomplished operations director, with more than ten years of experience managing a cross-functional team, supporting multiple sites and product divisions. A degreed engineer, I began my career on the technical product side, developing and specifying solutions for my customers. In that role, I discovered that my strength and my passion is in problem solving. As such, my transition from engineering to operations was an easy one. The operational side of any business presents a near constant stream of opportunities to solve problems and improve efficiency. My approach to problem solving is data driven. Reviewing and analyzing data establishes baseline performance while also ensuring actions are based on facts, not perception. I have a keen ability to filter out the noise and identify the key metrics that define performance levels. I then determine the factors driving said performance and employ Lean principles to develop an action plan. I have used this approach to consistently improve on topline KPI’s such as customer on-time delivery, inventory turnover, product quality, and productivity.
