Director of Nutrition Services in a multi-disciplinary partial hospitalization program for Eating Disorder recovery. ➤ Developing and teaching curriculum including Elementary Nutrition, Nutrition and Disease, and Sports Nutrition.➤ Supporting counseling skills requirement for diet tech, pre-dietetics, and nutrition and fitness certificate programs.➤ Teaching courses and supporting students in individual and group facilitation skills for health behavior change.➤ Integrating theory, research, and knowledge from experience and current practices to improve the quality of education.➤ Using effective communication principles to facilitate professional relationships with students and colleagues.➤ Teaching assigned class material in accordance with learning objectives that were developed by the department.➤ Planning and implementing curriculum and educational programs for students to advance program and college goals.➤ Communicating content to students so that learning occurred, skills are developed, and students are motivated to learn.➤ Maintaining current competency and knowledge of developing research and evidence in literature to support instruction.➤ Providing students with a plan for academic improvement as needed and following up to support their success.➤ Meeting with students as requested or when necessary to address student performance concerns and provide feedback.➤ Performing course-related administrative duties including creating, reviewing, and distributing course syllabi.➤ Maintaining records of attendance, involvement, and progress and helping students achieve their educational objectives.➤ Utilizing a variety of instructional strategies in order to engage students including cooperative and experiential learning.

➤ Overseeing staffing and operations for health education supervising 7 registered dietitians & 1 program coordinator.➤ Supporting clinical health educators, chronic condition management, and specialty departments to support access.➤ Operationalizing and marketing program resulting in consistent profitability and strong consistent clinical outcomes.➤ Creating and marketed care paths in specialty departments to improve integration without impacting patient access.➤ Serving on local committee for a regional initiative addressing protein calorie malnutrition documentation and coding.➤ Educating physicians on appropriate diagnosis criteria and maintaining highest rate of identification in region for 4 years.➤ Serving on committee standardizing appointment types for appropriate coding and documentation for Nutrition Services.➤ Standardizing referral system and condensing problem reason codes from over 100 to 13 to support operational needs.➤ Founding and co-leading Managers of Outpatient Nutrition Services peer group to standardize department operations.➤ Participating in cancer accreditation process and supporting Outpatient Nutrition Services in accreditation requirements.➤ Launching a Medical Weight Management Clinic and staffing physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.➤ Connecting newly diagnosed diabetes patients with Health Education Services to support A1C quality goals.➤ Educating medical center clinicians on how to engage patients to motivate & commit to regular cancer screenings.➤ Facilitating 2 active cohorts and training facilitators for the program & building foundation for on-going success.➤ Managing staffing and operations for 4 clinical health educators who support the Family Medicine department.➤ Advancing regional priority topics including Tobacco, Diabetes, Weight Management, Heart Health, Sleep, and Stress.➤ Co-leading collaboration with Chronic Conditions Management, Quality Department, and Family Medicine physicians.
