I'm an experimentally trained physicist, with an interest in granular media and soft matter. During my education, I was fortunate enough to be trained on a wide variety of experimental techiques, from confocal and super-resolution microscopy to rheology and NMR, as a means to learn the complex theory behind them. Currently, I'm putting both my experimental and theoretical skills into practice with my PhD, where I'm studying the mechanics and dynamics of dense suspensions of (nearly) frictionless hydrogel particles under compression.
