Simulation and Test Engineering (STE)Project Engineer in the STE group working on the test equipment development for the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Regional Jet (MRJ) program. Responsible for coordinating the initial cost estimates for the test set-ups, determine the schedule of the various test equipment developments, and establishing a budget for these developments.Project Engineer for the Boeing 787 aircraft Electric Model Training Simulator. This training simulator is used by the pilots, crew, and repair personnel. It has the capabilities to simulate the Boeing 787 Electrical Power System including engines, generators, contactors, switches, and other critical components of the 787 electric power systems. One of the main functions of the simulator is it makes it possible to simulate malfunctions in the electrical power system for training purposes. Responsibilities include, tracking and reporting status, earned value tracking, schedule progress reporting, and problem reporting, to both Hamilton Sundstrand management and the customer (Boeing). This program was delivered on schedule and slightly above budget.Contributed as a Project Engineer to coordinate the technical resources in the test case scripting effort to fully exercise the Power Transfer/Load Management functions of the Boeing 787 "Dream liner". This was in preparation of the Boeing 787 First Flight. The scripts were used in a hardware lab environment and in a simulation environment to ensure the aircraft is safe for first flight.

Responsible for the management of the design, development, integration, test and pre-production build of the F-16 Fighter Jet's Flight Recorder. Activities include managing the initial program cost estimation, schedule tracking, technical development, customer interface and collecting performance parameters. My duties also include the coordination and preparation of proposals, statements of work, design requirements specifications. I also had the responsibility for sustaining product support for the F-22, B-2, and CF-18 flight recorders.

Program Manager for the A-10 (Wart Hog) aircraft's Head-Up Display projection unit. The customer is the U.S. Air Force. Activities include estimating program cost, tracking schedule performance, technical quality, and collecting project performance parameters. Coordinated and contributed in the preparation of proposals, statements of work, requirements specifications, BCRs (Baseline Change Requests) and ensured the satisfaction of contract requirements.

Flight Management System for Toshiba. Toshiba was contracted by a larger Japanese firm to design the cockpit for a commercial aircraft. Responsible for the management of all program activities including estimating program cost, tracking actual costs, tracking schedule performance, and recording earned value. Coordinated with the functional organization managers in a matrix structure the staff allocation, the preparation of proposals, statements of work, technical specifications, BCRs (Baseline Change Requests) and satisfaction of contract requirements. Interfaced directly with the customer. Made trips to Japan.

Established a business on the internet to sell brand name compatible fiber optic components. This included the development of a web site - http://www.lazeropticsolutions.com/ establishing a relationship with a supplier from China, set up a merchant account, and used Google to advertise and sell these products online. Ordered, received, inventoried products, packaged and shipped products to my customers.

Sub-contractor management to replace of the System Administration Complex for the Optical Digital Cross Connect system. Resulting in a 50% cost reduction, a 66% size reduction, and an increase in computing power by 20%. Completed in less than 12 months.Led the cost reduction activities.
